Title: Adding Fields to MC28
Post by: rwheaton1 on March 21, 2022, 10:11:41 am
OK, I'm new to MC and I'm getting really peeved with trying to add fields.  I've attached a list of fields by file type that are populated in my music files.  Right now I'm concentrating on FLAC.  I have been entering the FLAC field in the keyword field add a space and enter a "=" like I have seen on the automatic fields added.  The information is not pulling.  What is the issue?  ?

OK...won't let me attach an Excel document.  Here are a couple of fields:

ACOUSTID_FINGERPRINT
ACOUSTID_ID

The wiki has a topic on tagging.  You can add custom tags.  I can't really follow your question.  Maybe you could add some details and examples.

If you're adding a tag you think is already in the file, the case must match.

I attached the one field I setup.  Is it wrong to pull the field already in the file for FLAC?  Am I missing a step?

If the file uses the name "ACOUSTID_FINGERPRINT" you probably need to do the same for the field.

Great!

You could set the display name to contain a space instead to clean it up in some areas.
