Title: media center closes spontanuously

MC28 closes, when importing files, when changing options, when-ever. Just shuts down, no warning or error. Happens random, but expect it to be every couple of minutes.
What can I try?
I use latest versions of Win11, Focusrite 18i20.

That's usually an antivirus problem.  Could also be drive related.

Start by configuring Windows Defender according to the thread here.

I have problems where it will hang for 10-15 seconds and go away. It happens especially after a Sync, but I've had it happen randomly anytime.  Can't put my finger on the trigger.

Sometimes I get the spinning blue circle that just keeps spinning until you click on MC29, then it's toast.

You're probably running Windows Defender.  Please read the thread here on it.
