Title: (F6) Rename, Move, & Copy Files adding "(newline)" to Album Folder Name
Post by: pilotbum on May 08, 2022, 02:38:01 pm
I don't know what I did to cause this to start happening but when I use the '(F6) Rename, Move, & Copy Files' it is now adding '(newline)' to EVERY album despite the file.

This is not ANY of the file's Tags nor is it in my file naming rules anywhere.

Can anyone advise on why this is happening and how I can get rid of it?

Thanks.

That tool won't rename the [Album] field so something else must be doing that.

If the newline is in the actual filename instead, could you provide an example?

Oh, I see it's adding (newline).

That must be in the album field.

Try Clean File Properties.

Clean File Properties doesn't fix that.

Coming next build:
NEW: Added "Remove newlines" to the Clean File Properties tool.

This also happens if your Directory rule ends with a newline (ENTER key). Just click there and check that the cursor ends at the end of the line and not on the next line. Delete any extra blank line and check if that fixes it.

@Matt: I eventually got it to do away by selecting my Preset 'Audio Settings From Options > File Location' and then it would not return.

@zybex: You nailed it. That did it. If I went back to the rule field and hit enter '(newline)' was added.

Thanks fellas for the response. I figured it was something simple but after so much beating my head against the wall could not figure it out.

Cheers!
