Title: Enable Tab Completion When Tagging Files
Post by: PreLives on May 10, 2022, 01:59:05 pm
Hello - On MC 26, when updating a field tag that was a List data type, I could type a few letters and click TAB to complete the remainder of the entry. In MC 29, tab no longer completes the entry and instead moves to the next field. Is there a setting within Options where I can re-enable this action or any chance of adding it as a toggleable setting within Options in the future? I'm so conditioned to the previous version that using the arrow keys to select the first item in a list feels unnatural. Thanks!

When the entry appears, click down to select it.  Then tab should finish.

I also find it frustrating, it just adds extra mouse clicks , and extra duff entries

Eg I have classical genre 01 - orchestral, 02 etc , I often find half completed entries where I have tabbed without selecting.

I know this was a deliberate change following request , is it not possible to add on option to replicate the old version as an option ?
