Title: IPTV with rtp-protocol
Post by: TristanG on May 15, 2022, 03:23:05 pm
Hi,

in Germany, they switched the streaming protocol from https to rtp.

Therefore the streaming adresses looks like this:

rtp://87.141.215.251@232.0.20.35:10000

Unfortunately, it doesn't works.

Please help!

Thanks,

Tristan

Does it work if you paste that URL into File > Open URL...?  It may work even though, as you said, it does not work in TV engine.  We will have to figure out how to support RTP in TV engine.

Unfortunately, a common https-adress is also not working, copied from the browser, e.g.

https://www.3sat.de/kultur/musik/anne-sophie-mutter-ny-philharmonic-100.html

MC says "No title to play".

What can I do to fix it (settings?)

That URL does not seem to be linked to any video.  It takes you to a web page if you put the URL in a browser.

But why does not a common link works (like https://....?)
Please give me an advice.

Radio over IP works fine with an app like Audials.
So it should also be possible in JRiver, shouldn't it?

And when Radio works, TV over IP should just as well, not only over rtp but also over a common https-adress.
Please realise it, since MC is really a great app!
