Title: Make ID3v2 tag optional

Can you make MC9 NOT add ID3v2 tags to mp3s?

I have a couple mp3 players that just will not play
mp3s with ID3v2 tags. I have to otherwise manually
remove the ID3v2 tags before using those mp3s.

Tools > Plug-in Manager > Input > MP3.

Configure from there.
