Title: Burn CDs
Post by: rblnr on May 25, 2022, 10:40:39 am
Can anyone tell me how to do this?  Haven't had to in years and can't figure it out now.  Want to burn a couple of albums into CDs.   Thanks.

If you have files in MP3 or other common formats, but NOT in FLAC, then you can use the Mac program called BURN.

https://burn-osx.sourceforge.io/Pages/English/home.html

It's pretty friendly and works well, but WILL NOT BURN FLACs.  Something weird about the library they are using.  If you need to burn FLACs (which make up more than 99% of my collection), then the easiest thing I've used is XLD.  XLD is mostly used to RIP CDs.  But it has a little known feature that it can burn them too!

Open XLD, then choose File > Open Folder as a Disc > (choose a folder with music)

In the window that opens, you will see your music files and in the upper right hand corner, there's a "BURN" button.

Good luck,
Brian.
