Title: Custom Resources
Post by: JimH on July 08, 2022, 05:53:11 pm
I am currently doing a major update of my Dream in Blue skin, and while I can replace the default spotlight icon located in the MC installation folder: Default Skin Items/Standard View with my custom icon(s), every time MC is updated it gets overwritten. I obviously know how to change it back after an update,
If you put something in the Custom Resources Folder, MC will not overwrite it and will use it first.

I have a vague memory from many years ago of a skin I downloaded that included a custom resources folder. But whatever it was, I can no longer find a custom resources folder in either the installation directory or the AppData/Roaming folder.

What is the exact path where I need to locate the custom resources folder?

Create it next to Default Resources and put your skin in it.

It's called Custom Resources, not customer resources.

I did create the folder as "custom" not "customer".  My voice dictation software did not transcribe my post correctly, and I did not notice the error.  In any event, Marko generously sent me an email directly explaining this in full, so everything is sorted out now.
