My Media Center 9 has been working great untill I install DFX. I purchased the enhanced version 6.1 and it played great for all about an hour and then just shut off MC9. I updated MC9 and still as soon as I try to play something from my media library MC9 shuts down. What can I do? HELP! Checked all settings and everything looks fine.

Unninstall DFX and MC, then reinstall MC and then DFX

My MC9 spontaneously shuts down on a fairly regular basis, I don't know why. If I just let it play, it will go all day long, but if I am clicking around a lot, eventually it will just shut down (no Dr Watson or anything). I don't have DFX installed.

do you also have slide show activated?

Ok I uninstalled MC9 & DFX and reinstalled. Here Is what I found out. Under options, output, DSP then DFX window pops up and you get 5 choices to play with. DFX,EQ,Effects,Replay Gain and Output Format. Once I unchecked DFX I could play music with all other choices checked. As soon as I check DFX
MC9 shuts down. Uncheck it and MC9 works fine. What to do now?
I bought the DFX mega-pak which alows me to install DFX on WM9, Real1,MC9 and WinAmp3. The other playes have no problems what so ever. Is there a fix for this?? It worked fine when I 1st installed and sounded great. I would like to get this to work.

Don't really know, it may be a OS problem, registry problem, SoundBoard Driver Problem, MC problem or even a DFX problem, maybe some other user have the same problem and the way to fix that, i don't have DFX installed in my MJ. :-/ Maybe changing the output format to DirectSound, ASIO or Wave Out
