Title: "failed to connect to server"

i'm getting this error everytime i start up (when checking for updates) - going on for a couple weeks now...  are there any updates for 9, and is there a reason on your end i can't connect? all my other web connections are fine...

If you're not running the latest build, please try it.  There was a network problem in a few prior builds that was fixed.

When you have a problem, please report your system info by copying it from MC Help.

jim, the beta, you mean? i'm running 9089 - the beta warns that there are numerous bugs. you must mean a good version prior to the beta posted up top?

i've just installed the new beta and am still getting the error - reason:unknown...

i guess it's not important, but that i like my stuff to work properly. i guess i shouldn't cry - MJ/MC has never given me the bugs that i've read about in here. still, i like my stuff to work...

any ideas?
