Tried a couple of them.
First in JRiver 28 and decided I wanted to upgrade anyways.
So now have JRiver 30 and still the videos are in Black and White.
Probably a setting somewhere I'm guessing.
-
Ok, after jumping around to different videos they started playing in color again.
I did not change any settings yet.
-
JRiver crashed now and I'm back to black and white.
-
Going to reboot and see what happens.
-
Ok back to color again.
Just needed a reboot I guess.

Make sure your cable connections are tight.
-
Wild.
What kind of cable are you using?
That's pretty rare with HDMI. Usually the HDMI failures I've experienced present as full colored pixel noise (in other words a bunch of 100% Red, Green or Blue pixels, with a weird preference for Green) or dropouts.

These were recorded videos on my hard drive.
I was not streaming.
VLC played them in color but JRiver was playing in black and white until I did a reboot.

Video cable.
