Title: No build tonight
Post by: JimH on March 05, 2003, 12:46:50 pm
We're doing some internal reorganizing of the program right now, so we won't do a build tonight.  There should be one tomorrow night.

One thing to look forward to seeing tomorrow is that image upload to a web page should include thumbnails and the ability to name the html file.  That got done today.

Yeah, what KS said. Sort of like Photoshop Elements and automating the process?

Yes.

Select photos.

Right click.

Send to

External Tool

Upload to FTP (This should probably be "FTP or Web server")

Then you fill in the forms and in build 124 you get this kind of page:

http://www.jriver.com/~jriver/2003/jriver/

[but it names the index.html file something similar but not the same, so you have to rename it on the server]

In tomorrow night's build you should get something more like this:

http://www.jriver.com/~jriver/2002/keywest/Index.htm

I have a Sony P9, which is a 4 megapixel camera.  I love it.

But those pictures were taken in light that wasn't great with the 2 megapixel camera built in to the new Sony NZ90 PDA:

It's a little thick and a little expensive, but it's very cool and a nice glimpse of what's coming next.

You noticed?

I wouldn't normally buy one at that price, but I want to know what will be around in a year or two at 1/3 of the cost.

Research, you know.

Thats true.

But I found out I got a 7% raise today, so maybe I can buy something.

The only thing I told my boss was "great I am sure puts me in a new tax bracket"

how much are the taxes over there?

Here in Denmark I pay 65 % of what I earn to the government.

I basically like to pay taxes - I like the principle.
But I think 65 % is overdoing it...

>> how much are the taxes over there?
it depends on how much you make.
Some Pay "0" Some Pay more

1. your taxed on what you make
2. your taxed on what you buy
3. your taxed on what you have
4. your taxed on money that was taxed
5. your taxed when you die.

my county now wants to tax me for my cat that does not leave the security of my house.

Soon they will tax my fish, and the bugs in my yard.

IRS = Tax Police
