I installed the latest MC30 on Windows 11. It takes ~5-10 minutes to open past a blank screen, during that time spawns 100s of child processes as seen in task manager. I have changed windows defender to allow MC30 as suggested here, but that does not cure this. My media library is on a network drive, but it is easily accessible (eg via Win11 File explorer) and this was never a problem with previous MC installations (although they were on Win10).
Edit: These are instances of jrweb.exe.
there are threads reporting similar behavior:
here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=106806.0
and maybe here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=95064.0
but this is a new install, I don't see any tabs that could be spawning jrweb.exe. can this executable be disabled without harming operation of the main software?

Not normal. Double check Windows Defender: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114101.0.html
MC does a lot of things when you've first installed it but it certainly shouldn't be that slow.

I was able to stop this behavior by renaming (disabling) jrweb.exe.
For some reason, upon install MC30 opens with ~50 tabs open.
So this spawns ~50 instances of jrweb.exe.
I do not know the reason for this behavior.
The PC this is on is a fresh install of Win11, and the MC30 installation is new (no previous install of MC).
But perhaps there is a file in the media library on the remote drive, left over from previous MC installs on other PCs, that triggers this huge number of tabs.
I have actually never used the browser feature of MC AFAIK, so this is unexpected.
