Title: Upgrading from older versions: AUDIO analyzed
Post by: Psyffer23 on January 03, 2023, 04:50:24 pm
I haven't upgraded in a while. A really long while, I have version 20!  My question is, if I upgrade to the latest version will I have to r-analyze all my audio/video files?  This might take a VERY long time as I have over 250K files and it could be a deal breaker.  Would it be worth the trouble, I wonder?  Thanks

Should not have to.

There were changes to use R128 instead of Replay Gain for volume leveling back in MC 19 I think.  If you are using Volume Leveling you need to have values in the Replay Gain(R128) field for each track.   So just check that the Replay Gain (R128) fields are set.  There are new options that have been added like HDCD. You will have to re-analyze to take advantage of them.
