Title: Cover art is not showing
Post by: mamethot (Mark) on January 03, 2023, 07:08:47 pm
Good evening,

Facing a small issue where the cover art isn't being displayed on my TV for some files.

When the files are from Apple (bought in iTunes) the cover art is missing from the screen (on my TV or projector).  When they are CDs ripped, no issue all works.

A funny thing is that for the iTunes files, the cover art is displayed in Gizmo but not on screen.

Help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Mark

MC has an option to include cover art in the file.  Your Apple files probably don't have cover art in the file.

It may work with Gizmo because the files are converted by the server.

The option was selected and files updated (Get from the internet) in the jriver Media Center.

I tested further by converting one Apple M4A file to flac and the FLAC file shows the image on TV and Tablet, not the M4A.

Still looking for answers :)

How are you displaying and playing the files on your TV? Is it maybe that the TV cannot find and display the album art?

As I said earlier, FLAC files have the image, apple m4a don't.

But I fixed my issue using perfecttune to update all apple files with the cover art.

Thanks for your reply.
