Title: What scaling options to use with Win11 and 4k TV?
Post by: flac.rules on January 23, 2023, 08:00:43 am
I just got a 4K TV, and also a new HTPC with windows 11. Win11 does some scaling internally because the resolution is high, but MC looks, frankly, completly horrible. Default 100% some icons are to big, most text is way way to small, and unreadable. If i scale it to 200%, tect looks ok, but icons are way to big, and it doesn't look good at all, icons overlap, and internal size between elements is all over the place. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Sounds like your Windows desktop resolution is wrong.  Control Panel > Display.

Thanks, you were right, the resolution was wrong, it did improve things to change it, but things still look weird (but not as bad as before) (i use 300% scaling in windows itself)

You may not need to do that in Windows.  In MC, there are several ways to change the size

View Menu > Size

Tools > Options > View > Fonts

Tools > Options > Theater View > size.
