Title: Editing File Location In Sidecar Files
Post by: nathanCFD on February 07, 2023, 02:00:41 pm
My media management stinks; I have 11 drives, different sizes, etc.  I'm going to consolidate down to 4 (maybe 5).  Any advice on pointing MC back to the files in their new location?  Can I do a batch "find and replace" on the XML Sidecar files?  Or, is there more to it than that?  I know I can use the "rename" in library tools to move but I've maxed out my drive rack on the server; can't have the new drives and old drives in there at the same time.  When the new drives are ready, I'll be doing a full upgrade on the file server and installing MC 30 fresh.

Don't edit.  Use MC's tools.
