I am unable to fully open the screen of the HLC. (see screenshot)
Does anyone know a solution for this?

Looks like the HLConvolver developer is aware of the issue and is trying to fix it:

It's not clear if it's a problem with the plugin or MC's VST3 init code. Maybe you can reach out to mitch[at]accuratesound.ca and ask about it.

Thanks for your comment. It works well with a computer monitor.
My TV is a 4k device, which seems to explain the problem

It looks like you may have DPI scaling on (on the OS level) turn it off. MC's UI scaling % is usually pretty reliable but I have found issues in the past.

Can you perhaps explain where and how I can disable this?

Check the "Display" options in Windows settings.

Scale should be at 100%
In the past I've had to go into "Advanced Scaling" and set it to 100% to lock it for all current and future monitors / displays when I've been testing different display devices or whatever.
However, the first option with the dropdown should work for most people's situations.

Thanks for your help, Eve. In Windows 11 it looked a little different, but when I scaled to 100% the problem remained. (although it looked a bit smaller 😉)

That's unfortunate it didn't fix it. It is seeming like it's either an HL Convolver bug 'directly' or related to how hosting a VST within your audio application is implemented.
I've mentioned elsewhere, odd alignment / UI issues on VSTs in JRiver before. The thing is, those can crop up in pro audio applications too so it's not like JRiver is to blame here really?
It's not a 'fix' exactly but MetaPlug has been consistently helpful at sorting out VST issues for me. It's actually the only way I can get WAVES stuff working in JRiver reliably. It's a VST host itself so occasionally it can work around problematic VSTs.

Just a quick note to say this was fixed by the JRiver team and now displaying as it should on 4K TV displays. I forgot which version the fix is in, but 30.0.82 works fine.
