Sometimes when I launch MJ 9.0.103, there will be a very helpful column to the far right of my Media Library that has all file properties. I can simply go in there and edit a file's properties without right clicking, selecting Properties, etc. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to make it appear. This is probably a dumb question but can someone just save me the frustration and time. Thanks much.

Since you posted This In The MJ8 Forum, I Will Move It To The Correct Forum.
===================================
Now For The Answer.
Edit (Drop Down At Top Of Screen)
Properties
At the Top Of The Properties there is an arrow buttons
<--- ---->
Press them and see what happens.
-
Another way
- on the left hand side of the properties pane you will notice on the 'bar' that appears down the side of it a little bumpy part in the middle with two arrows.
click this and watch your properties window disappear. Click it again and watch it reappear. :)
-
That works too
Here is another way.
if it is not visible, highlight a file, right click, select properties.
it will now show the window to the right.
-
;D
I'm gonna get the last word in here:
Click on a file: Press Alt+Enter - It'll bring up the properties window
As far as I know that's all the ways!! :)

Wow , This is like watching 2 stags in the mating season!
-
customize tool bars, add the properties icon
click on it
-
Ahhh!!
Ok - I'm gonna have to wait till the SDK comes out - learn Visual C++ then make a plug-in just to open up the properties window!! :)
U win the battle but not the war! :)

I'm afraid none of you answered the original question of how to have the Properties window open when MC9 is launched (read the initial post again).
The answer is very easy: just leave the Properties window open when you exit MC9, and you'll find it open when you launch MC9 again!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Luigi - You show them Mods and Citizen Kanes's.
A win for the little people!

Maybe true but you got to know where it is first to turn it on and leave it on when you launch mc9
;D
Still the King
-
Ah - I agree with King and I think that's more what he was asking as he would have noticed straight away that it stayed open each time he exited MJ and opened it again.
I think he more wanted to know just how to get it :)
-
Actually, to clear up the debate over who was right -- both our Citizens Kanes & Senior Woodchuck were. However, no one answered the key component, which I figured out myself ;D. The Citizen Kanes got me to the point where I could figure it out. Once Properties is open, you have to hit the little toggle button (like the Windows minimize button) to get the Properties window to appear as a column. Tada!! Hopefully, now it will stay there once I close down. I never recall doing any of the things mentioned in any of your replies (much thanks!!) to cause it to close in the first place. Still getting used to navigating through all these views. I am sure once I get control of them, they will be very nice. Love the app!!

Very interesting, King: do you really mean that whoever says that you are right is wrong???
-
