Title: Manually kick off auto-import from watched folders?
Post by: Arcadian on April 02, 2023, 03:42:59 pm
It seems like the wait for an album to be automatically imported from a watch folder after opening media center is slower now than it once was. What's the best way to kick it off manually? Is there even a way? Also is there a configuration option for the checking time interval?

If you go to configure autoimport you should see an option to run it now.
I've never seen anywhere to configure the time interval

Ok I was looking under Options > Library & Folders > Auto-import but there's nothing there. Only lots of check-boxes for settings. I've just found it though under Tools > Import > Run Auto-import now.

Might I suggest a button for this is also added to the main auto-import configuration page? Seems like a logical place for people to expect to find it.

Right-click on either the top or bottom toolbar and do "customize toolbar"
You can then add "Run Auto-import now" as a button to either of those toolbars.
