Title: Windows 11 JRiver 30 I can't find any folders on my user Desktop
Post by: roysgg on May 06, 2023, 03:57:14 pm
Hello. I have several Music folders on my Desktop in Windows 11. JRiver 30 is not able to find anything on my Desktop. I remember previous JRiver media Center versions had "Desktop" on the left tree. Now I can not find it.
Even if I go to Explorer-> Windows "C"-> Users" -> "My User" -> Desktop nothing appears.
Am I doing something wrong?

Nevermind.... I just found out that on Windows 11, the user Desktop is under the C: -> Users-> "Username" -> "OnDrive" folder. WTF Windows 11!!?

Only if you allow it to be during setup of Windows 11, they've made it tricky and confusing on purpose. You can prevent it from using OneDrive by default, but only during the setup process. I wouldn't recommend using the desktop or any of the library folders (e.g. Music, Video, Pictures, etc.) and instead use a location outside of those directories to avoid this very issue.
