Title: No OSD for some desktop environments
Post by: drmimosa on May 24, 2023, 03:06:24 pm
On certain desktop environments, there is no OSD during video playback (Openbox, for example). On Gnome DE, I can get an OSD by going to the edge of the screen with a mouse. Testing Debian and Fedora on different machines.

Is there a keyboard shortcut I can try, or an MCC command?

I'm just getting back into video playback - thanks for taking a bunch of questions recently!

See if there are focus stealing tweaks for the desktop you are having trouble with.
The overlay is very simple and only uses base X commands.
