I made a large playlist of favorite tracks from the 80s by dragging the flac files into a new playlist. I, then, over many hours updated tags, art, etc... I closed the program and came back to the playlist a bit later to add a few tracks and all the many changes were gone. What happened? Can I revert back to the playlist as it was an hour ago?
Thanks

Only if there was a back-up done between times.

Why would this happen? I've never lost anything in any of the many playlists I have. It reverted to an earlier part of the day - I added about 20 songs and updated a bunch of tags, all of which are gone.
So I now have to guess when this program will revert to an earlier time and erase all my work in a playlist?
By the way, this is after upgrading to MC31. The playlist was started in MC 25, completed in MC 31. But it was still working perfectly in MC31 when I completed all my work on this playlist. I came back to it a few hours later and it reverted to the version when I was using MC 25 the day before.

Are you using MC on two machines? Client and server?
Did you try restoring a backup? MC makes them automatically. [wiki]

I'm embarrassed....When I upgraded, I didn't realize it kept MC25 on my desktop. When I restarted my computer it was MC25 that opened on the restart. The playlist is intact on the new MC31. Since there is nothing useful in this thread, it can be deleted. I'm sorry for post:)
Thanks,
Drew

Thanks for reporting the reason for the problem. It happens to me once in a while, too.
