Title: Cover art not being found (MC 9.0.119)
Post by: rocketsauce on February 21, 2003, 11:48:56 pm
I finally upgraded from 9.0.88 to 9.0.119. I must say the upgrade went smoothly. No lost playlists or anything. :)

I've also started adding cover art to my library.

I'm storing the images as folder.jpg in each album folder. This works flawlessly when importing new albums into the library.

I'm having problems, though, when I add cover art to the folder of an album that has previously been imported. It appears that the only way that I can make MC find the image is to manually add it using Properties/Image/Tools/Add or to delete those albums from the library and re-import them. Using Properties/Image/Tools/Get From Internet/Offline only seems to scan for images in the cover art directory that is specified in MC's Options/File Naming & Location.

Since I just spent all evening scanning about 100 covers, is there any way to get MC to recognize the folder.jpgs, other than manually adding them or deleting and re-importing the albums?

This has always been an issue (although I don't consider it an "issue" issue)...

I always delete, and re-import - it's pretty quick anyway, even for 100 albums...

Thanks. At least I know it's not just a problem that I'm having.  :)  Hopefully this will be worked out in a future update.
