Title: MC 31 (nor MC29) is not importing new audio files
Post by: edjohnny on May 30, 2023, 09:01:52 am
i have added over 1000 audio files in the last three weeks and have found an issue that i have found that is in MC29 also.  I have been using MC27 for some time and it has worked perfectly.

what do i need to check in MC31 (besides folder setting) to get it to add the new files to the audio lists?

Make sure Tools-Import-Auto Import is set to the folders you want to be looked at and auto imported

Any time you skip major versions when installing the latest MC (i.e. going from MC 27 to MC 31), the best approach is to restore everything from the very last backup (that MC automatically makes) from the MC version where everything was as you wanted it (assuming you still have the MC 27 folder).

If you've imported a bunch of files into the latest version of MC and you don't want to lose the tagging (due to restoring the library from a earlier version), you will have the option to restore only settings (via a checkbox). It only takes a few seconds and after that everything should be in order again.

Looks like the restore did the trick...  i'll try to remember that one...

the import progress display box was only showing the count before...
