I have scanned and saved my old photos in Windows Explorer.
Then I imported the photos into a Library in JRiver.
Then for various reasons I have had to change the original file name. But after re-importing the NAME filed still says the same as the old name.
I have checked off Tools/General/"Update tags when file info changes"
Also have checked off Tools/Library & Folders/Manage Library Fields/Name - Save in File Tags(when possible)
Also I have deleted the album and re-imported with no success.
Attachment No. 2 shows the Photo "Name" for Album 30....typically the photos are called ....3,4,5,6...etc
Attachment No. 3 shows the files with the new Names for Album 30.....typically 30-01, 30-02, 30-03...etc
I use the file name as the caption so really would like the NAME and the Windows filename to match!
It seems like JRiver has the original metadata cached somewhere (wish I knew where) and won't update or 'release' itself from it

On the wiki, read about tagging and Library Tools. Experiment a little with the tools.

Thanks.
Move/Copy Fields worked......as a constructive comment, it would seem to me that it would be great if a re-import did the same thing at least to Basic Fields like "Name"
