Just installed on my Mac MC 31 and kept MC 27. Settings in both versions are the same. It appears that MC 31 does not import new files in a correct way while MC 27 does this. I tried to solve this by making a backup of MC 27 and restore this backup in MC 31. When adding new files the problem is still there. Not all files are added in MC 31. I made screenshots of both versions.

Check your auto import settings carefully.
Search in JRiver for a file you believe is missing. Some file types are containers and can end up in the wrong category (audio, video, data).
-
This is not an MC problem. It's a settings problem.
When you import, you need to be certain that the filetypes settings are what you expect.

Which files or file types are missing? How many? Where are they?
-
Are they named *.flac? Perhaps they are something else, like *.cue files.
In MC27, take a look at a few of the file names of the ones you're missing. Provide a couple file names with a complete path.
-
Give a few examples.
-
MC 27 (Mac) finds all files when scanning. MC 31 (Mac) does not find all files.
The possibilities are:
1. You're not importing the correct directories
or
2. You're not importing the correct file types
or
3. They were imported and you're not seeing them
or
4. They were imported previously, deleted, and your import is set to ignore previously deleted files
-
As I said: all files are FLAC. So no Cue files or whatever.
A CUE file can point to FLAC files. There are also "embedded" CUE files where the CUE sheet is embedded in a single file to point to other files within it.
The details matter.

permissions in Mac OS and/or Synology?
or special characters issue?
-
look in System Settings /under Privacy & Security/ MC 31
and compare to MC 27
-
add manually what's needed

Nice one, AGAWA! Thanks!

I tried to find a way to add access for files and folders. Could not find it. If you can guide me I'll give it a try
You could try a Google search or Apple or Synology support.

Since sebessie is now in read only mode for a few days and believes I've treated him badly, I want to explain that AGAWA narrowed the problem down to a privacy setting on the Mac. MC27 apparently had some system privileges that MC31 didn't. This is an Apple settings problem, not an MC31 problem.
Oddly, sebassie took a verbal swing at me for congratulating AGAWA on zeroing in on the source of the problem. Oh well.
AGAWA, please send me a private message if you want to add anything. Thanks again.
