Title: Subtitles Not Available When Playing Video

I remuxed an mp4 file with tx3g subtitles into an mkv file using MKVToolNix.

The output file contains srt subtitles that are visible in MC when I look at the subtitle tags, but not when I play the video in MC.

The subtitles are available and visible when I play the video in VLC.

The subtitles are also visible in MediaInfo.

Is this a bug in MC or an issue with my remuxing process?

Nevermind, I figured it out. Posting my solution in case it helps anyone in the future.

Evidently Timed-text subtitles aren't supported in MKVToolNix, so remuxing didn't work.

I had to use Subtitle Edit to extract the subtitles from the original file as a separate srt file.

I then had to remux the original file without the original subtitles and muxing in the separate srt file.
