Hello,
I did a search on the forums and couldn't find an answer that fixed my issue. In MC31, I get buffering between each track. This does not occur on MC29 (my previous version before upgrading to MC31). I tried different settings in MC31 but there is still a buffering between each track. I'm using the same computer and DAC that I use with MC29 so I am at a loss as to why there may be buffering. I tried WASAPI and Direct Sound with no change. I'm using an NVME SSD so I am not sure why buffering is occurring and why it doesn't on MC29. I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions on what I can do to resolve this. I tried changing pre buffering, and buffering but that hasn't resolved the issue. I would really appreciate any help or suggestions you can provide.
All the best,
TheGame

Uninstall Norton, to test.
Norton is mentioned 14 times in the two pages of antivirus problems here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=86096.msg588759#msg588759

Thank you for your suggestion. I uninstalled Norton but that didn't resolve the issue. I'm perplexed since MC 29 doesn't do any buffering.

Configure Windows Defender.
What types of files are you playing?

.flac and.mp3

Could something be making your drive slow? Try analyzing an album and see if that's slow too. It needs to read and decode the files just like playback.
