I have two albums from different artist but with the same album name.
In music center (In album view) both albums are separate, but viewing this in JRemote, both albums are together.
Is this normal for JRemote?

Here’s what MC looks like.

What you see in MC is controlled by the view definition. It looks like your Albums view, in MC, is actually grouping by Album and Album Artist. The JRemote Albums view seems to only be using the Album name.
You can look at the definition of your MC Albums view by right clicking and choosing customize.
The JREmote views are completely separate. They can be viewed and changed at:
Tools > Options > Media Network > Advanced > Customize Views for JRemote
I have often wished that I could keep an MC view and a corresponding JREmote view exactly the same so I didn't have to maintain two separate view areas.

Hello Brian, thanks for your help but I still can’t get JRemote to behave exactly like MC.
It’s close … I now added “album” + “album artist” which still shows only the album “5” as stacked and when you click into it you now see both albums as separate.
Very strange why I can’t get JRemote to look exactly the same as Media Center.

You would probably enjoy learning a bit more about how Views work. In this case, what you need is a category that is actually an Expression. The expression needs to include [Album Artist (auto)] and [Album]. I'm attaching a picture of how I have mine set up. You can ignore [Album Info] as that is a custom field of mine.
Best of luck!

Hello Brian, thanks again for trying to help out and pointing out different ways within Music Center to sort and customize views.
I tried what you posted and it didn’t work … I also tried poking around and reading up but the software is extremely nerdy for the casual user.
I’m sure the MC software designers know exactly what to do to get JRemote to behave exactly like MC when viewing albums that have the same name.
Thanks again,
Brian
