Hi!
I'm at my free trial and some things have deeply impressed me: the use of DLNA devices as server and renderer, the party mode with almost multiroom and the nice and most cover view that is easy to adapt.
But:
Many genre tags are numbers - I've read about other people having the same problem, but they have windows taggers. Do you know how to solve the problem with puddletag or another Linux tagger?
And the Audio view seems to be adaptible, but I don't understand it at the moment.
Is it possible to define own labels and summarize genres?
For me the perfect view would be:
own label for metagenre -> genre -> album artist -> album (sorted by year) - tracks (sorted by number)
Is this possible?

I don't know how you got numbers for genres. Maybe another tagger? Try a Google search.
You could search for [Genre]=1, for example to see all the files tagged with "1", then edit the Genre in the tag window.
You could learn how to customize your views here: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/View_Schemes

But I can get the view I want?

Probably

And what tag version does JRiver refer to?

And what tag version does JRiver refer to?
I don't know what you're asking.

e.g. ID3v1,ID3v2.3,ID3v2.4?

Try a Google search, adding "JRiver"

No, did some new tests. The genre numbers are not because of tagging software or special versions. It's because of the combination of AssetUPnP and JRiver. Other UPNP servers work with the same files, but I really like AssetUPNP. And other players work. Does somebody have a solution for this problem?

Did you ask the publisher of Asset?
That's very unusual and not something we would program around.
