Title: Resume Where Left Off???
Post by: sraymond on February 14, 2003, 02:51:22 pm
J River crew:  Is there any plan in the works to add "resume where left off" playback within media files?  I know that the current ability to resume where left off playback within the playlist is very useful, but for us video fiends, within the media file resume is an even bigger help.

I've asked this before, and I raise this issue again, because as I'm listening to CNET Radio Direct and make the mistake of changing the MEGA-ME skin...  Oops, MC restarts...  and now I've got to find where i was.  It would also be nice to have a "jump to <mm:ss>" function as well.

Am I the only one that thinks this is very useful?

This "resume where left off" is a great feature of PowerDVD XP and a must-have.  PowerDVD has three options: Never, Prompt, and Always, where I believe "Prompt" is the default.  I leave it set to "Always".

I noticed that while I was 1. reinstalling windows with programs, 2. playing songs with MC and 3. constantly rebooting (thanks to all sp's and security updates) that this particular feature would be nice :)

Noted and entered in our Book of Things to Do.  It's big and heavy.
