Title: Auto Fingerprint Mode
Post by: KingSparta on February 16, 2003, 04:19:14 pm
It would be nice if MC had an auto finger print mode.

where i could insert a CD and MC could get the Info From YADB and if found then Auto Fingerprint The CD And Submit It To Yadb Fingerprint Database.

It would also be nice if when riping MC had an option To Send The Fingerprint To The CDDB Fingerprint Database.

Good ideas.  We could do both of these, but during ripping, it would add several seconds per track.  We should probably make this an option.

What features does YADB and CDDB have?

Can YADB store replay gain settings? If not, could it? That would save a lot of time and would be one step ahead of CDDB if the features are equal right now.

just where i can stick a CD disk in.

MC will get YADB data fill it in
MC will finger print the tracks on the cd with the YADB data
Then upload the data to the YADB fingerprint database.

there is two database's for YADB one for CDs And One For Fingerprinting.

this way i could go thru each of my CD's and allow MC9 finger print each track without riping it.

if you wish to finger print and it seems to work.

1. put in the CD
2. allow YADB find it
3. select all tracks on the CD
4. right click, tools, submit track to YADB (Finger printing)

and this way you do not need to rip the CD.

Like i said It Seems To Work.

OK
finger print is what i call tracks infos.
I did rip a lot of cds to upload finger prints to YADB- but look like it is not working very well.
At one point it just stops to upload and does not tell you where the problem was.

This may make a lot of double entrys- if there is such thing in finger prints data.

The 2 things you speak about would be very good .

There is a way to know if it works as you say?
