Title: WASAPI problem
Post by: Terja on November 01, 2023, 01:33:52 pm
I'm posting this here in case someone else is having the same issue. After the update to MediaCenter310080-x64, both Wasapi and Wasapi Exclusive direct connection ceased working on my Windows 10 system.
Reverting back to MediaCenter310043-x64 restores Wasapi exclusive playback. Not sure what the issue is between the versions; but I did try changing settings in version 80 to no avail. Perhaps this can be looked into.
Thanks for a very versatile product.

Did you try reinstalling and rebooting? WASAPI is working.

I tried rebooting but did not try reinstalling version 80. I am happy with version 43 though, so may just stay there until a new build comes along. My use case is almost exclusively music playback. Thanks.

I'm running MCv80 on Win11 and use an SMSL USB-S/PDIF converter.  My device shows up fine as "SMSL USB DAC - WASAPI" so not sure what might be going on with your setup.

@Terja: Which device is rendering?  As a long shot, you might try reinstalling its latest audio drivers with MC 31.0.80 installed, then power cycle renderer and reboot computer.  Also try its ASIO driver, if available.
