is anyone experiencing this?
It says: It is being used by another person or program.
If I make a text file in a dir, I'm able to delete it . If I have a wav file in there, I'm unable to delete. If I rename a txt file to a wav file, I'm unable to delete it?!?!?!?
I can delete the file in safe mode so I don't think it's a HD issue.
Anyone think WMP9 has something to do with this or would it be a virus? The file is definately not in use!
Am I doomed?

ok...I have to kill the explorer process to be able to delete it. something ain't right.. :(

I have noticed this in the last build or so. It has happened about 6 or 7 times now. WMP 9 componets (lossless & vbr) installed with MC are the only things 'new' on my computer. I can delete wavs if I close everything first and go into My Music and kill the file or folder, depending on what the case may be.
Is it really necessary to install these componets, WMP lossless, and VBR, if they are never going to be used by me?

well it just happened on an ape file now too. converted from a wav file that was probably locked.
I can't narrow it down to what's causing it. it's like I have no permissions to use the file. I can't even edit the permissions and I have administrator access.
the only way to do it is to open a cmd window and kill explorer. do my thing and then restart explorer. if it is a wmp9 issue, I will not be installing it when I reformat (someday).
