Title: Media Server Client Party Mode
Post by: udeups on January 31, 2003, 09:44:50 am
Is there any way to *not* make a MC client work in Party Mode? Basically, I'm playing my library from home here at work and would like to be able to make changes that would "stick" in the library at home. Is this possible? I tried setting up a login/password, thinking that authentication would ensure that the user is trusted to change things, but that didn't work.

i would love to do this as well!!  If it does not exist, pls consider this a "feature request"!!

If it doesn't exist, and it is something that could be implemented, it would be nice if it worked like Windows sharing. Ie. set up different access levels for a) guests b) authenticated users...
this may be beyond the capabilities of MC, but if it isn't it would sure be nice.

Not at this time.  Maybe in a future release.

Like a lot of other things that are possible, we just haven't taken a serious look at it because it's not a high priority.
