Title: Video Issue on New Dell Lattitude [Solved]

Hey all - long time no post!

Recently the machine in my teaching space was replaced with a new Dell Lattitude laptop. Details in Attachments
It will not render video of any sort from MC versions 26 thru 31
It won't display images in MC and and it won't play video in MC - even though a variety of other software will do both these things with the same source files.

I've had MC installed on a wide variety of PC configurations over the years back to when it was Media Jukebox...(1998??), and not seen anything like this.

All drivers are updated and the PC runs all my other software, from video editors, desktop publishers, various graphic design and office apps pretty sharp.

Any ideas?

Is it connected to the internet?  MC needs to download some additional files for Video Playback when first run (and periodically after some updates).

The school firewall may be blocking access.
