I've been using jrmc with my hifi for about 10 years and always of dreamed of something like this.

It seems to support Last.FM, so in theory it might work already.

Setup a Last.FM account, set MC to scrobble to there & see what happens?!

They're very light on details though, which makes it pretty hard to figure exactly how it works.
