Title: Casting Windows audio from Media Center?
Post by: ansky on December 15, 2023, 10:27:11 am
I know I can use Windows built in media player to cast audio to my Sonos Beam. Is there a way to make Media Center playback to Sonos? If not, is that on a features list?

Thanks

Yes, which is where I learned how to setup Windows Media Player to cast to the Sonos Beam. That allows casting from the player or from file explorer (via right click). I couldn’t find anything in Media Center or Help on how to use that functionality. Thanks again.

The Beam should show up under Playing Now as a zone. Simply select that zone for playback. If you have several Sonos speakers you can group them in the Sonos app and music will go to all of them in sync.
