Title: Seq vs Track# - Dumb question and some hand holding is requested
Post by: Sky King on March 09, 2024, 06:18:09 am
When playing an album, the sort order that I see in "Playing Now" is by Seq rather than what I want the order to be which is by Track#.  I can't figure out how to change the playback order to Track#.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

Simply click on the Track # header. You can sort by any header simply by clicking on it. It will sort in order or in reverse order by clicking.

To establish a sort order for the view,  right click on the header and choose Sorting - Custom Sort and put in your sort order.

Thanks for the tip!  I’ll give it a shot.

Okay I think that may have fixed it.  My default sort in the custom sort option, for whatever reason, was set to "bitrate" so I added "track#) and deleted "bitrate" and now it appears to be working.  However, when I shut down MC and restarted it again, the original sort order by "bitrate" was reintroduced.

Maybe it's because I am using a client to make the changes rather than on the computer that is hosting the server......  Bingo! Changed the settings on the host machine and all is well.

DTC, thanks again for your help!
