Title: handheld sync conversion options

It appears there is no option to convert to mp3 at 192, but not convert mp3 files that are not already at that bitrate.

I want to backup my music to a hard drive for an upcoming trip, and I don't have room to save everything that is already lossless as lossless, so i need to convert those files to mp3, but I don't want to convert existing mp3 files to a different bitrate.

am I missing the option, or is this not possible with the existing options?

You could select those, then exclude them.  I think you can invert the selection.

You need to select "convert if necessary" and add mp3 (but not any lossless formats) to the list of supported filetypes.
