After quitting Mediacenter I can't restart the app. I have to restart the Mac to open MC (Mac Sonoma, MC 32, both last updates).
I appended the log but probably you won't see any problem.

Can you check to see if it's still running (in activity monitor)? You aren't in server mode are you?

It's still in the activity monitor after quitting MC. After stopping the program in the activity monitor I can start MC.
MC is working as a server for JRemote. Appended is the screenshot of the media network preferences.

What's under your startup settings?
Mac Startup?

Sorry, I didn't have a look to that before: there Mediaserver is selected.
In the last minutes MC crashed several times. Here are logging and system reports.

So if MediaServer is selected and is running you control MC with the menu bar icon.
Exiting the UI (if it's showing) with file->exit or by hitting the close button leaves media server running.
Closing via Apple Menu->Quit also terminates the media server instance.
Your log shows this at the end:

An error in the audio device it seems. Looks to me like it's trying to open a non-existent device. I don't know why that causes a crash.

Many thanks for the quick answer.
