Title: can I associate a dps preset to a playlist/smartplaylist ?
Post by: drugo on April 21, 2024, 09:18:33 am
Hi
I have searched a lot in this forum , but there are all outdated topics

I'm running JRiver Media Center 32.0.26 , even in the forum there is JRiver Media Center 32.0.37 but i guess it's a sort of beta..isn't it

I know I can tag an album and add a preset ,by the way i have disabled tag files to avoid timestamp changing , will jriver store in its database or directly to the file?

may I know if I could associate /activate a dps preset to a playlist / smart playlist since the have been asked several years ago?

thanks

Preset selection is file based.  It can't be hooked to a source like playlist.

sadly , just because think about 2 or 3 amps , 6 different speakrs or 2 dacs, have a playlist with the eq presets and send an album to a playlist made for a specific amp and speaker could be very useful
thanks Matt

I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right functionality here, but ...

I believe volume leveling was recently added for DLNA playback.  Normally, I listen to whole albums at a time, so I'm perfectly willing to adjust the volume on the living room system as needed.  (The computer is in the study, a distance away.)  However, I do have a few playlists that I like to put on shuffle from time to time.  For those, volume leveling would be handy!

hi
even the Eq , if you have some speakers more than 2 stereo ,and more than 1 amp ,it could be very useful
