Title: Issues with building a new view scheme
Post by: Ava Tar on April 24, 2024, 02:05:07 am
Hi, not a fan of cross-postings, but after 2,000+ views without any answer, I try it here hopint for a bigger „audience“ than in the Mac section.

Hi all,

I am trying to build a view scheme, but fail miserably.

My idea is to add a view which behaviour is similar to the "artist" view,
displaying a page with the movie studios (e. g. UA, MGM, Warner...)
displaying tiles with the Studios logo. Klicking on the studio logo would
display all movies from Studio "A" or "B".

Same goes or Keywords like "Comedy", "Thriller", "Cartoon"...

What I get is a page with tiles showing a random movie cover instead of each studio logo.
Same for Keywords.

I do have the logos stored in the cover art folder in subfolders called "studio" and "keywords".

Is there any logical mistake I made?

Best, Frank

MC only support icons for couple of fields. I think for Artist and Composer (might few be others too). Others just show cover thumbnail from image file tag. It would be cool though if this could be extended to any field

Thank you, that’s a good hint. I will try the „Composer“ field when I am back home.
