Title: Getting Cover Art from Internet
Post by: Michael S. on June 21, 2024, 12:31:08 am
Everytime I try to look up cover art in Media Center for old rips that are missing it, Media Center doesn't find anything (or it only finds whatever cover art is already there for those rips that already have some).

Am I doing something wrong?  Can Media Center look up different selections of cover art for rips that have none?

If it can, do you need to do anything special other than select all the files and the option Cover Art/Get from Internet?

Try doing a single track or single CD.  Behavior is automatic otherwise.

What version of MC are you using?

I'm wondering if - for whatever reason - Media Center doesn't find too much cover art for classical CD's.

dBpoweramp always finds a lot of cover art at the time of ripping CD's.  Would be nice if there was a way to tap into that selection of art for files that have already been added to MC.

I've successfully tracked down quite a lot of missing cover art for classical CDs using https://sourceforge.net/projects/album-art/ (https://sourceforge.net/projects/album-art/)

I use that for cover art and I use discogs for track data and art.

This is probably what you want to use. I've found it useful in the past.
