33.0.1 (7/3/2024)
1. NEW: Introduced a new default presentation mode for JRVR that presents several frames in advance, one for every VSYNC, for more accuracy and better timing.
2. Changed: JRVR will try to restore monitor profiles if the monitor ID changes.
3. Changed: Updated Spanish translation (thanks Leandro Botella Penalva).
4. Changed: What was the new extra channels mode in the previous version is now the only extra channels mode.
5. Fixed: Improved rendering of text with italics at large sizes, which was causing some pixels to be cut off.
6. Changed: Updated all translations to the latest strings from the code.
7. NEW: Added customizable Playing Now popup window that displays at track change and playback resume. Ctrl+I is the default shortcut to show it manually.

Here's a link to an old Playing Now Plug-in thread. Rhinobanga was the author. The plug-in got a lot of love from the MC community back then.

@Matt
i wanted to ask if you received my email regarding the translation.
-
Yup. Thanks!

This may be being caused by the Playing Now Popup
On Thursday the 4th I installed MC33.0.1, on Sunday the 7th I had to remove and then re-install MC33.0.1 on Tuesday the 10th I had to remove and re-install MC31.0.1 and tomorrow the 11th I am going to have to remove MC31.0.1 yet again. I'll stick to using MC32.
On Sunday and Tuesday Morning and again this Evening when starting up the PC and using the taskbar to open MC33 all I got was the Desktop with the taskbar indicating that MC33 was running. When I hovered the mouse over the MC33 icon in the taskbar it revealed that MC33 was open in playing now but I could not find that MC33 window anywhere else.
So what have all those Failure to Correctly open MC33 events have in common - prior to closing MC33 and the PC down for the day I'd told MC to not reveal the Playing Now Popup.

When you're having trouble getting it to show, try ctrl-1. Also try ctrl-I.
Try a standard skin.

The fact that MC33 opened up normally on the days when the Playing Now popup was active reveals that it is nothing to do with the skin, using ctrl-1 had no effect. Out of desperation I even clicked on the play button to see if that would get it to behave itself and yet again nothing happened. I finally did find the MC33 window I used prtscn to capture the whole screen to show what I was seeing when hovering over the Active MC33 icon in the taskbar. Unfortunately it is too big to upload because it revealed that the MC33 Window was sitting beyond the right hand end of the desktop.
All using ctrl-I does is bring up the popup and clicking on that to access its controls doesn't work
How can I try a standard skin when I can't access the MC33 window to switch skins?

If you can see it in Task Manager, right click there and choose maximize.

I cannot reproduce this. It only happens when the popup is disabled?

He said he's closing down too.

ET,
Shutdown, sleep ...?
I'd told MC to not reveal the Playing Now Popup.
How? Ctrl-I ?
I assume you're using the 64 bit version.
Any other clues?
