I trying this 9.0 version media center. it has a few features I like but. I can't get to burn a CD. It starts to
write the lead-in information, CD text stuff, but after that
the whole proscess stops. I mean right in the middle of
the first song. I think it saying something like code error
1000 or something close to that. Bottom line is I just mess-up about 5 to 6 blank-CD's. Just had to trash-em
right in the trash can. I Been dealing with media jukebox
sents back in the 7.0 versions to the 8.03 version, and never had this problem. I was thinking about up-grading
But I need a way to fix problem before my trail version is up. :'(

The burner stopped working since .089 (CDWriter.ocx 1.0.0.38). Version .088 works fine.
I just installed .105 an still not workind (Not recognized).
Installing Adaptec ASPI doesn't change it.

Could you post your system info here (from MC's help menu)?
Also, you can check the "test mode" box until you get an error free burn. This will prevent you from ruining CD's.
udos:
What is your cd burner model (and max speed) and is it internal or external? (sorry if I already asked in another thread).
Thanks,

Hi John,
it is an Teac CD-R55S. I have one internal an one external SCSI Controller (Adaptek 2940). The burner is conncted to the external one. As I mentioned before, it is gone since version .089. Replacing the CDWriter.ocx version xx by 1.0.037 which is used in vers. 088, it will detect the burner. However, due to paramter errors, you can't use it.
The max speed is 4x.

Unfortunately "test mode" works for me, but I still can't burn and wind up with a ruined disc. So, while I think it's a good idea to try the test mode, you aren't guaranteed a successful burn if the test mode works...

I'll be glad to get up to this step, the problem is, MJ doesn't see the burner at all.
