Have been using jremote on my iphone & ipad for years and have 5 different JR servers. Each has its own unique access code which hasn't changed for several years. Has always worked.
Just yesterday jremote 3.42 on my ipad stopped working when I tried to connect at my office. Nothing has changed. I tried my iphone & it connected immediately. I powered the ipad down and then back up and it connected immediately.
Went home and into my listening room. Same problem. I could not connect to that server with my ipad BUT I easily connected using my iphone. Power cycled again and it worked.
This morning at the office the same thing. This time I deleted the ap and reinstalled it. All attempts to setup all of the 5 servers I have with access codes fails. I’m using my iphone successfully.
I did search for the issue and saw someone had a similar issue last year. He power cycled his ipad and then was able to connect. I assume that resolved his problem as there were no additional posts in that thread.
I get a failure message that states
Finding computer addresses
Response received
Found two addresses
Attempts to connect to the first and times out
Then attempts to connect to the second and times out.
Don’t know what else to do.

Any help or ideas on this?

Have you tried rebooting the server and your router too? Sometimes weird things happen like that.

Could be the network, but odd that the iPhone works and the iPad doesn't, if you're trying to connect to the same server.
What is "deleted the ap"?

Thanks for responding. Yes, I rebooted the router, wifi access point and my pc. No joy. Truly at a loss!

Yes, very strange that my iphone works as it always as. And "Deleted ap"...I meant app....deleted jremote from my ipad but that didn't help. I cannot add any server.

Some security thing on the iPad? Google?

Certainly a thought. Have no idea what or where I'd look for something like that! But I will start poking around.....

Well, this is embarrassing. The first thing I looked at in settings was my WiFi connection. Somehow it disconnected from our regular network wifi here at the office and connected to our guest wifi which limits access to the internet only excluding our network. Of course, it now works! Thank you for your help.

We've all been there. Thanks for reporting the solution.
