Title: JRemote not showing PDF assets
Post by: mattlovell on August 11, 2024, 11:40:47 am
Is there anything (file naming convention, presence or absence of other files) that would prevent JRemote from showing PDF assets for an album?

I usually name the PDF scan of a CD booklet something generic, like "booklet.pdf".  Despite a MC restart and restart of JRemote on the iPad, the "Assets" tab fails to appear when viewing info/details.  This only occurs for some albums, though.  Others still show the booklet PDF (as a sole accompanying asset).  I've not yet noticed any pattern regarding which albums show the booklet and which don't.

Thanks,
  Matt

If you’re running Windows, it may be worth checking if the aggregate number of characters in the file name / path is more than 256 characters.

Good suggestion, but I don't think that's the problem.

Taking two of the recently-added albums for which there is a booklet.pdf (that does show up fine with a right-click in MC itself), the total length of the paths and filenames come to 104 and 76 characters.
