I had been using MUSICMATCH 7.5 and just switched to MEDIA CENTER 9.
The main reason for the switch was to get better sync (faster) with the IPOD. Works great for that.
I also purchased MC9 ($34.95). I assume this is the full version.
I'm now want to RIP my CDs using MC9. Trouble is, I cannot RIP in MP3 format. When I go to options to try to configure the encoder, I do not even see the encoder icon. I'm assuming the version I purchased included the ability to RIP in MP3 format.
When I go to tools/plug-in manager, I see the MP3 encoder listed.
I've un-installed, re-installed, navigated through the limited documentation, all with no luck. I must be missing something.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Randy

yes but it is in beta, so updates are normaly weekly
select all songs you wish to rip, click on the rip icon, then use then options button to configure the encoder.
if your converting from a format on a media file format select all files, then click the convert icon and then use options button to set the encoder.
Plug-Ins Page's (incase you needed the link)

Thanks...
It worked, but was not what I expected. I thought I could (and should) make sure the encoding options were correct before I tried to Rip. I guess they feel you only want to set the options when you are in the act of ripping.
Anyway, thanks...

well it was the other way, but this way you can set the Convert encoder and the rip encoder at diffrent settings if you wish.
